TORRANCE, CA (Monday, March 27, 2017) – NASCAR’s “west coast swing” offered time for more than just on-track activity. The Toyota Racing drivers from all three national touring series, as well as other forms of motorsports, took the opportunity to meet with Toyota executives on Thursday, before kicking off Auto Club 400 weekend in Fontana.
ThorSport Racing Camping World Truck Series driver Cody Coughlin was among the attendees.
“This was a really cool event,” Coughlin said. “It was really cool to learn more about Toyota, see their headquarters and learn how we’re helping them sell cars and trucks by racing their cars and trucks on the track.”
Coughlin has been apart of the Toyota Racing family for a number of years throughout his career in Late Model racing, the ARCA Racing Series and now the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
“I’m glad I had the chance to go to this event and thank the employees of Toyota who help us go fast on the race track,” Coughlin continued. “I’m very thankful for Toyota Racing and how much they support my racing efforts in Late Models and in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with ThorSport Racing. The Toyota family is a great one to be a part of.”
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series gets back on track this weekend for the first time since Daytona in February. The Alpha Energy Solutions goes green Saturday at Martinsville Speedway.
